Welcome to your Sophomore Year at UHM!

Reminiscing on your freshman year, you may have struggled adjusting to college life:
-understood what it meant to have a roommate
-grappled with academic expectations
-experienced new food, music, and culture
-felt lost figuring out the campus
-been away from home
-realized athletic expectations
-sought balance in life
-learned to take responsibility
-made mistakes
-realized a new found freedom.

This year you are going to experience a new set of challenges, but your freshman year prepared you for just that.  You may find yourself asking:

-What are my expectations and responsibilities?

That is where we are here to help! We want to make your sophomore year to be full of exploration, opportunity, and decision making about your future, but we want you to realize you are not alone. This website is compiled with you in mind - with resources and links to help answer your questions.

Mission
The mission of the SEC is to help sophomores navigate academic requirements and campus life so they become engaged with the campus community and invested in their college experience.
